Description
Artificial intelligence is transforming the legal profession at an unprecedented pace, and young lawyers are uniquely positioned not only to adapt to this change, but to help shape it. This session explores how the next generation of legal professionals, within AIJA, can play an active role in the policy debates defining the governance of AI – from regulatory frameworks and ethical standards to the future of legal education and access to justice.
As part of this effort, the BRC is launching a comparative research project aimed at mapping how different jurisdictions and bar associations are responding to the challenges posed by AI for young lawyers. The findings shall feed into a white paper offering concrete policy recommendations to ensure that the profession remains accessible, fair, and well-regulated in the age of AI.
As legislators and bar associations across the world grapple with these questions, young lawyers have both the opportunity and the responsibility to contribute their perspective to the decisions that will define the profession for decades to come. We invite participants to share their experiences and insights, helping us build a truly global picture to support our and future lawyers’ generations.
